On Saturday 21st September 2019, world renowned Northern Ireland born pianist Michael McHale gave a piano masterclass to four young finalists from the 2019 Northern Ireland Young Musician Competition. Michael flew in specially from London to provide the service, and he gave each of the four pianists relevant and objective feedback on how they could improve their technique and interpretation. The masterclass was held in Holywood Parish Church and we are indebted to them for the use of their premises and facilities.
A good number of parents, teachers and friends were in attendance, and were treated to a wonderful afternoon of music.
