1. Any recognised solo instrument, including the voice, but excluding the organ, is acceptable.

2. Entrants must be under 19 on 1st September 2025 and in full time post-primary education.

3. All entrants must be resident in Ireland on 1st January 2025.

4. Entrants are required to perform one or more pieces of music, not longer in total than 8 minutes.

5. You may enter online by visiting the participate page – or alternatively you may download an application form and post it to this address:
Young Musician Competition, 32 Derryboye Road, Killinchy, Newtownards BT23 6TP.

6. Payment can be made online, or by cheque made payable to The Rotary Club of Comber.

7. Whether entering online or by post, two copies of your chosen pieces must be posted to the above address. All entries and music must be received by Friday 19th January 2025

PDF copies sent by email will not be accepted.

8. An official accompanist will be available at the heats and the final, but you may arrange your own.
An acoustic piano will be available for performances and accompaniments.
It is your responsibility to arrange rehearsals with the accompanist.
The use of backing tracks or CDs is not permitted.
A music stand will be provided.

9. Your travel arrangements and expenses at the heats and the final are your responsibility.

10. You may enter more than once, provided your chosen instrument is different for each occasion.

(An entry form and fee will be required for each entry)

11. The adjudicator’s decisions will be final. Written adjudications will be provided.

12. The organisers are not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever to your possessions.

13. It is a condition of entry that you allow the Rotary Club of Comber to video your performance, take and use your photograph for publicity purposes and that you understand and accept that these may be used in Rotary publications, news media and on Rotary websites.

The Rotary Club of Comber has adopted the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) Health and Safety Policy, the Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy and the Equality and Diversity Policy, copies of which are available on request. We will protect your personal information, will not divulge it to third parties except the programme printer, and will not keep data for inappropriate time.
